I captured the moment while hiking in Bishop Creek.  I told one of my girlfriends that I drove up the mountain to heaven. This photo touched me personally and was worth the time it took to drive up the mountain to get it and then to drive back down.  I couldn't believe the shot because the image was exactly how I had painted it in my mind.  Exactly!  Boy, was I tuned in!

SUN BURST

This shot was on private property.  I was driving when the sunlight passing through the trees caught my eye.  I just had to pull over and get the shot... so, I trespassed.  But just for a few seconds.  It was the moment and I had to capture it.  Luckily, I shoot very fast.

These birds were out during the rainy season in Botswana.  I like this shot because both of their mouths were open... like they were talking to each other.

I Saw the Shadow First!

All of the sudden, I lifted my eyes and he was flying above the frozen sea.  The snow was very fascinating because it was like the sky and the ocean were the same.

It snows very heavy over the frozen sea.  When the boat opens a path way through the ice, the birds fly in to hunt for food in the broken ice.

20 Below Zero

As soon as the fish was pulled out of the water - it froze!  At twenty below zero, who needs a freezer?

With my Nikon, I can shoot at twenty below zero without problems.  I just have to keep the camera close to my body so I don't have to change the battery as often.

She was so close to me when she passed by while visiting me in my tent.  Her eyes are mesmerising.

The next morning we drove to find her.  No one believed me when I told them we had already met... until they saw her paw prints on the floor of my tent!

Montmartre

History and glamour - that's Paris!  Paris has it all.  Here's a shot of the famous historic hill and district of Paris, Montmartre.

From the ancient ruins of Roman baths to Basilique of the Acré Coeur and the many artists who have lived and painted in this district to modern Montmartre.  (Oh, the dancing... and I have danced in so many of its nightclubs!)
