Hyena Day

This is the first time I got so close to a wild dog that I could capture its eyes.

The hyena was talking to the other wild dog telling him to get a kill so they can have breakfast.

Hyenas are scavengers.  They let other animals to do the hard work first and then arrive on the scene to take the remains.  It's a very efficient system.

Little Kwara Trip

As you can see, I am back from being in the bush.

I was staying at the Little Kwara Camp that is located in the remote northern area of the Okavango Delta in Botswana, Africa.

It is a far away wilderness with varied landscape from forested to open grasslands with fantastic wildlife.  The area is considered one of the Jewels of Africa.

Photos coming soon!

I'm Leaving for Africa this Weekend!

Here's are a few pictures I just took.  I was testing lenses for my trip to Africa.  I wasn't there to get the birds or anything, I was just testing my lens.  It was so foggy, I could hardly see.  I could hear the birds but couldn't see them.  The bird on the branch was shot with my 400 lens - this bird was way up there.  It was my testing shot.
